I will have to rename my blog into what?! Into "Gnome-home"? Well, at least it rhymes! C'mon Tomas - You don't mind some extra company in the attic, do You? ;-)
This is a "hermit-wichtel" isn't it? A really shy and quiet one? The sort that refuses to be caught on photo and that only the eye of an artist can catch before it returns into the shadows it came from...
yes, hermit, but neither shy nor quiet, just a wise man who turns his back to the profane temptations. let´s say it may be Sophokles with his lamp searching some hidden inner values, keeping his frog in leading-strings...
Oh, John Bauer is such a fairytale-icon it's almost hard to think the man himself ever really excisted! Wasn't there a schampoo using the image Tuvstarr for commercial when we were little, M?
Yes, I remember that commercial very well. I loved and still love his fairy tale world. It is the perfect rendition of how I view fairy tales. I get all nostalgic just thinking about his work.

Could be a cave-infraclass version of the hermit-wichtel species then, perhaps... ;-)
This reminds me of John Bauer.
